Abstract

The article focuses on the evolution of veterinary and medical approach in treating animal diseases. It notes that present animal doctors usually have a couple of years of college, a four year in veterinary medicine (VM), and must past a state licensing exam. It says that doctor Herman Salk has pioneered with tranquilizers for dogs that not only calm the animal, but of better than the standard anesthetics. It adds that doctor Robert H. Pudenz has successfully operated animals with brain tumors.
