Abstract

The article focuses on Ohio-based "Lima Citizen." It notes that 350 stockholders have gathered in November 1957 to hear the first progress report of the newspaper that the Limaites had pitched in to start. It says that the newspaper was founded on 300,000 dollars to compete with the 25-year-old "Lima News" sold to Raymond Cyrus Hoiles and his Freedom Newspapers Inc. Wayne Current states that never before has a newspaper taken a lead in national advertising in a short period of time.
