Abstract

The article discusses the opposition of France on the U.S.-Great Britain arms shipments to Tunisia. It says that the U.S. supported the arms demand of Tunisia to prevent the latter from accepting the arms offered by Egypt. It tells that France believes that the military support was a demonstration of open aggression and that Tunisia President Habib Bourguiba supports and gives the arms to Algerian rebels. It mentions the plan of France to quit from North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
