Abstract

The article focuses on the history of Chinese art seen in the art collections in a museum in Peikou, China. It states that the nature was the main concern of Chinese painters, wherein, landscape was their major subject. It says that painter Hsieh Ho of the fifth century capture ch'i as the first principle of painting that represents quality of spirit-resonance and life-movement. It discusses the paintings that trace the Chinese painting history during the T'ang dynasty under Emperor Ming Huang.
