Abstract
- The article focuses on the promise of Curtiss-Wright Corp. president Roy T. Hurley to put a price tag on every operation in their plants. The promise by Hurley was demonstrated when the company revealed its automated assembly line in its Wood-Ridge, New Jersey plant, which is the most advanced technology in the industry that enables the company to produce faster and cheaper aircraft components. The Wright Turbo-Compound piston engine, the Lockhead Super Constellation and the Douglas DC-7 are some of the products manufactured using the technology.
