Abstract
- The article focuses on William J. Brittain, a British reporter and editor. Brittain worked as assistant editor of Lord Beaverbrook's "Sunday Express" and later as editor of Lord Rothermere's "Sunday Dispatch." He acquired the weekly newspaper "Recorder" in 1934, boosted its circulation from 700 to 22,500, and converted it into a daily paper. Brittain hopes to find a new public of 500,000 readers of "Recorder."
