Abstract

The article commemorates the death of Miguel de Unamino, regarded as the most influential philosopher in Spain. He served as rector of the University of Salamanca in Salamanca in 1901. Among the issues he faced were his exile ordered by Primo de Rivera and his accusation that Alfonso XIII was unfit to govern. A ceremony was held for the commemoration of the philosopher's death at it was attended by visitors from universities all over the world and closed by Rector Pedro Lain Entralgo of the University of Madrid.
