Abstract
- The article discusses the relationships that have grown between "Time" magazine's editors and reporters and Western Union's Operator 25 telegraph operators. Operator 25 is described as a commercial service wherein operators tell the magazine's correspondents to call back when they are not at home to receive a wire. Seattle, Washington bureau chief Dean Brelis describes places where an operator has contacted him, such as in movie theaters and athletic clubs. Operators 25 in Des Moines, Iowa are described as chattier than most.
