Abstract

The article offers information Great Britain's Quiet Sunday Laws which prohibit sporting events and forbid game shooting, beekeeping demonstrations, and milk deliveries between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. It highlights the attempts of Britons to amend or abolish the laws that also prevents a Briton to buy a toothpaste and have his shoes repaired but may not buy shoelaces. In February 1953, reformers petitioned to change the traditional British Sunday but was rejected.
