Abstract

The article reports that Egyptian leader, General Mohammed Naguib, finally agreed to let the Sudanese rule Sudan after eight days of talks in Cairo with Sudanese leader Abdel Rahman El Mahdi. The Sudanese will elect a legislative assembly and operate under home rule supervised by the British governor general. Within three years, the Sudanese will vote again whether they want to stay independent or join the nation of Egypt.
