Abstract

The article reports on the opening of the shore of Lake Athabaska for uranium prospectors in Saskatchewan in August 1952. It reports that hundreds of investors and prospectors visited the place to settle claims. To have the right to stake 21 claims of around 52 acres each in the lake, a license fee amounting to 5 Canadian dollars were offered by the government officials of the province.
