- The article offers a look at the features of the superliner United States which was launched in July 1952, racing east from New York into the Atlantic Ocean. Such superliner was launched a century after the Pacific paddle-wheeler was launched in the U.S. The article also offers information on the features of other ocean liners including Queen Mary, Ambrose Lightship, and Bishop Rock liners.
