Abstract

The article discusses the presidential primary elections in Massachusetts where Dwight David Eisenhower led his 11 opponents with 254,838 votes or 62 percent of the total. He won in 27 of the 28 Republican districts, the last of which is the bailiwick of his close competitor William Howard Taft. The primary in Massachusetts is a test on whether Eisenhower or Taft will be the candidate of the Republicans for president.
