Abstract
- The article discusses the initiative of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to build a chapel in its building in 1949 to help its employees strengthen their spiritual life. The company hired Reverend Clifford H. Peace as pastor-counselor who will be willing to listen to the personal problems of employees. Peace believes that the chapel is a specialized way of making Christianity available on the job.
