Abstract

The article focuses on the strategy by the Tory Party to change the schedule of sessions in the British House of Commons at the expense of the Socialist Party in March 1951. The Socialists got weary and angry as they struggled with a 16-hour working day. Most Tories were able to rest because they have rooms or small apartments near Westminster in London, England while many Socialists have to travel considerable distances to their homes. Prime Minister Clement Attlee pledged that the government would address the problem.
