Abstract

The article reports on the nominations that U.S. citizens have made for the Hall of Fame on the Bronx campus of New York University (NYU). For half a century, NYU has called on the public to present their nominations every five years in fulfillment of the concept of NYU Chancellor Henry M. MacCracken of a place where Americans can go to receive counsel. Candidates for the Hall of Fame must be dead for at least 25 years. Those nominated in 1950 included Woodrow Wilson and Stonewall Jackson.
