Abstract
- The article reports that the "Communist Daily Worker" had quoted and reproduced parts of a Communist propaganda in the report of "New York Times" correspondent Harrison Salisbury who was tasked to report on life in Russia. The series was supposed to be a factual report on economic progress in the Soviet Union. While the "Times" held the report until it could query Salisbury for additional facts, the "Worker" spread the rumor that the report was censored by "Times."
