Abstract

The article discusses the meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson and U.S. Senator Styles Bridges wherein they talked about the role of Berlin, Germany in the Cold War. It describes indications that Communists would attempt to march 500,000 youth-organization members into the city to force the Western powers out. Styles later met with U.S. President Harry Truman to talk about keeping Republican leaders posted on sessions about U.S. foreign policy.
