Abstract

The article examines the quality of daily newspapers in the U.S., according to the periodical "Economist" of London, England. It is pointed out that a surfeit of newsprint and volume of advertising are to be blamed for most of the weaknesses of the U.S. press. The English weekly publication has criticized the editors of the papers for their ignorance and illiteracy. The publication also cited examples of poor reporting in daily newspapers.
