Abstract

Then article focuses on quadrisonic, four-channel sound, that will be released only on prerecorded tape by Vanguard Records Inc. It says that quadrisonic provides a final push for tape against disks because disk recording cannot put four-channels in one disk, but bassoonist Peter Scheiber from Rochester, New York says that he can compress four-channels into two making hope for disks enthusiasts. It adds that the public will decide to replace old records with quadrisonic, either on tape or disk.
