Abstract

The article offers the insights of political scientist James Barber on the character of U.S. President Richard M. Nixon. According to Barber, the problem with Nixon is his failure to communicate that root from his desire for personal power. Barber suggests that Nixon should consult with opponeent and proponents of a certain issue before making a decision. Barber adds that his analysis was based on Nixon's rhetorical style, relations with opponents and advisers and ideological evolution.
