Abstract

The article features Republican Party (GOP) Vice Presidential candidate Spiro Theodore Agnew whose character and acts could affect the chances of the party in the 1968 presidential race. It relates his views on political issues, such as his criticism of presidential candidate Hubert Humphrey which he later retreated. It says that Agnew's offensiveness on hippies and Communists may help unify Democrats. It adds that after attending a political campaigning course, he developed better manner.
