Abstract

The article focuses on the implications of students' revolt against the administration of French government under Charles de Gaulle. It states that rebellion of students and France's workers has caused France Prime Minister Georges Pompidou to declare that the rebels intend to destroy the nation and the foundations of free society. It indicates that the revolt has turned out to be one of the most humiliating moments and greatest challenge of de Gaulle's career.
