Abstract

In this article, the author discusses the predictions of American economist John Kenneth Galbraith concerning the outcome of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. According to Galbraith, the country's participation in the war is the worst miscalculation in American history. It mentions that his forecast seemed to be accurate due to the increasing number of troops being sent in Vietnam since the term of President John F. Kennedy in 1962. It notes that he shared same advocacy with Eugene McCarthy.
