Abstract

The article reports on the efforts of an organization called Encounter which was formed in Greenwich Village, New York by former addicts that aim to fight against teenage drug addiction. It states the federal Bureau of Drug Abuse Control (BDAC) with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators discovered that the problem was lack of communication between a teenager and an adult authority. It mentions that 20 teenagers have taken the organization's program to stop taking drugs.
