Abstract

The article focuses on the views regarding the identity of convicted spy George Behar Blake, who escaped at Wormwood Scrubs prison in London, England. It mentions the conversion of Blake to Communism which occurred while he was a prisoner in North Korea from 1950-1953, wherein he stressed the harsh treatments and attempts at brainwashing. However, British journalist and fellow prisoner Philip Deane opposes the conversion theory and claims that Blake was a triple agent of British intelligence.
