Abstract
- The article focuses on the new troubadours in the music industry in 1966. It says that Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are the most literate of the new troubadours and that they sing about the failure of man to communicate. The Mamas and the Papas build a vocal blend that floats through complex harmonic shifts, toying with rhythms that are as fresh as ocean breezes. It mentions that the Lovin' Spoonful mixes hard rock and country music, as well as funky blues and jug-band music.
