Abstract

The article provides information on the economic situation of China in 1965. It highlights the shortage in the harvest of grain by 3,000,000 tons compared to 1964 which is inadequate to support the growing Chinese population. It emphasizes the increase in the industrial output by 11 percent wherein 14 billion dollars worth of investments will be expected for capital constructions from 1966 to 1970.
