Abstract

The article discusses the distribution of Communion from a woman or deaconesses in the diocese of California's Bishop, James A. Pike. Pike believes that there is no viable theological objection to women in holy orders as it is an argument that is slowly but surely taking force in Christianity. It also states that some members of the Saint Joan's International Alliance, an association of equality-seeking Catholic women, have petitioned Rome to allow women the dignity of priesthood.
