Abstract

The article reports on the increase in the popularity of cartoonist Charles M. Schulz's the Peanuts comic strips in 1965 worldwide. The Peanuts comic strips became popular because they talked about love, hate, solitude, among other basics of life. It is claimed that the comic strips were followed by some 60 million people in 700 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada and 71 other countries worldwide.
