Abstract: The author offers opinions on various sports issues. A substance called Poly-ox, that is claimed to increase the speed of rowers over a 2,000-meter course by 40 seconds, is being stopped by the secretary of Amateur Rowing Association in Great Britain. Gene Wiley has landed an employment as janitor at the Forum in Inglewood, California after playing with the basketball teams Los Angeles Lakers and the Oakland Oaks. British golfer Michael Bonallack will attempt to win in the U.S. Amateur golf tournament.
