Abstract

The article details the North American Bicycle Championship 1965. The two-day racing event was participated by 16 riders whose stamina were tested by a 190-mile course at high altitudes. Participants include Jim Crist, Steve Hammond and John Marshall. It notes that the 190-mile course was laid out by cycling devotees Bert Bidwell and Bernie Witkin in cooperation with the Aspen Chamber of Commerce. John Marshall, who finished the race in nine hours, 2 minutes and 22 seconds in two days, won the game.
