Abstract
- The article features John Mort Green, a successful U.S. bettor in Great Britain whose nickname is the Butterfly. It says that Green lives entirely by gambling, who goes racing six or even seven days every week. Green has chosen to live in Great Britain because gambling on horses in this country is entirely untaxed. It discusses the comparison between betting in the U.S. and betting in England. Information on how the peculiar nature of English racing has helped Green become a successful gambler is also presented.
