- The article reports on the end of colonialism in Africa wherein Portugal is preparing to transfer the power to the inhabitants of the occupied territories which include Guinea, Mozambique and Angola. It states that the decision to end the colonialism was made by Portuguese President Antonio de Spinola. It emphasizes the cease-fire between the guerrillas of the Mozambique Liberation Front (Frelimo) and Portuguese soldiers. It mentions that the transition of independence will be difficult due to the political factions of racial competition for power.
