Abstract

The article discusses the success of Tom Kleppe, head of the Small Business Administration (SBA), in requesting the U.S. Congress to increase SBA's lending authority from 4.3 billion dollars to 6.6 billion dollars. It states that he faced allegations regarding SBA misconduct, bribery and kickbacks. It mentions the closed sessions by the House Subcommittee on Small Business on the possible kickbacks.
