Abstract
- The article focuses on the weapons used in the Arab-Israeli war. It reveals that the use of the tank and close aerial support is no longer effective due to the vulnerability of aircraft and tanks to new missiles. It states that the most effective new weapon used in the war is the Soviet SAM6 surface-to-air-missile. It reports that SAM6 batteries have already downed 40 Israeli planes near the Suez Canal. It notes that SAM6 is a solid-fuel rocket that is mounted in a group of three on a tracked vehicle. It further relates that the Israel forces do not have effective countermeasures against SAM6.
