Abstract

The article examines the social, economic and political conditions of Israel 25 years after its proclamation as a state on May 14, 1948. It states that the country's gross national product (GNP) has been increasing by 9% a year and its exports have grown 48 times than they were in 1949. It also notes that the population of the country has reached a total of 2,600,000 of 14,000,000 Jews in the world since the Jewish people, who were wandering in the diaspora, started to return to Israel. However, it argues that the country has also experienced some unresolved social and political tensions, as well as domestic problems such as increased crimes and poverty.
