Abstract

The article offers information on the hostage taking incident at the Saudi Arabian embassy, in Khartoum, Sudan, on March 1, 1973. It offers details on how the hostage taking incident was carried out and how the succeeding events unfolded. It states that a formal gathering at the embassy was interrupted by a Palestinian terrorist group identified as Black September, the same group responsible for the murder of eleven Israelis at the Munich Olympics. It notes that the terrorists held the several diplomats hostage including Americans, George Curtis Moore and Cleo A. Noel, Belgian Eid, Saudist Al Malhouk, and Jordanian Adly al-Nasser. It says that the negotiations between the terrorists and the governments involved did not go well, leading to the death of hostages, Moore, Noel, and Eid.
