Abstract

The article focuses on U.S. President Richard M. Nixon's call for a domestic counterrevolution, considering his budget plans. It states that as Nixon called for a counterrevolution, he revealed the fiscal 1974 budget which would order the nation to put down the Great Society. It says that the president recommended the end of Washington's role of being an arbiter of the internal social goals. Moreover, Nixon wanted his nation to bring back self-reliance and local responses to social problems.
