Abstract

The article focuses on the invasion of Uganda by the Uganda People's Militia, which aimed at overthrowing the military government of Ugandan President Idi Amin Dada. It says that the 80-men militia, composed of former Ugandan soldiers and paramilitary police, grouped into three and went to their designated Ugandan towns, including Sanje, Mutukula, and Kikagati. It states that the invasion was both foolhardy and futile.
