Abstract

The article focuses on the "Washington-Merry-Go-Round" column, by columnist Jack Anderson, which stirs the attention of his audience as he disclosed the private policy discussions regarding the Administration action in the India-Pakistan war by the Washington Security Action Group which consist of experts from the National Security Council, State Department and Pentagon. It says that the papers have done less on strong support of U.S. President Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger for Pakistan against India; however, it did provide detail on the decision-making processes and ideas of the administration. It mentions that Anderson attempts to make his acquisition of information appear as a victory of the free press over official censorship.
