Abstract

The article offers information on singer and musician James Taylor. James' father, Isaac Taylor was a doctor and his mother, Trudy Taylor, was the daughter of a Massachusetts fisherman and boat builder who before her marriage trained as a lyric soprano. James' first album came out in 1969 and sold 30,000 copies its first year. As mentioned, today Taylor is one of the best and steadiest national record sellers. "Sweet Baby James," his second album, has already sold 1,600,000 copies.
