Abstract

The article discusses the persistent labor crisis in the U.S. It is said that the American labor market is in a state of turmoil, with threats of strikes and lockouts looming over the nation. Last week, postal employees ended their strike, which saw more than 200,000 of the Post Office's 740,000 employees illegally leaving their jobs, and returned to work. However, threats of other lockouts still lingers as the nation's air-traffic controllers, began delaying and cancellation of several flights daily as part of a planned "sick-out." Also, printers and mailers have indicated that they will go on strike if the government of president Richard Nixon doesn't meet their demands.
