Abstract

The article offers information on the assimilation of black Americans in the mainstream business of the U.S. According to the majority of black population tall promises made by the President Richard Nixon finally proved to be a vocal exercise. The promises made were not kept finally adding woes to the life of blacks. However, recently blacks have started joining and starting new business ventures. Some blacks have built big enterprises in the fields of banking, insurance and cosmetics. One of them is the builder Winston A. Burnett who has illustrated what a black manager can do when he finds enough capital to expand.
