Abstract
- The article narrates the events during the 8th National Women's Rowing Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's Schuylkill banks where the best American women rowers competed in 19 different classes last June 16, 1973. The Radcliffe team was pitted against the Princeton eight whose average weight was143 pounds and used a men's standard lightweight shell, and the Vesper Boat Club Crew made up of nurses, lab technicians and physical education graduate students. The Vesper team was defeated by a group of college girls from Radcliffe University.
