Abstract

The article discusses the popularity of cola from cola manufacturer PepsiCo Inc. in India. Although rival firm Coca-Cola Co. sells more beverages in India than PepsiCo, the latter is the clear leader in Cola. PepsiCo was able to establish its brand in India during a period in the 1980s and 1990s when Coca-Cola left the Indian market for regulatory reasons.
