Abstract

The article focuses on Shah of Iran Mohammed Reza Pahlavi who is condemned by majority of the countries throughout the world. It states that the Shah has been criticized by religious leader Ayatullah Ruhollah Khomeini with his supporters calling it as a puppet of the U.S. However, it tells that Shah has also been applauded by seven U.S. presidents started with Harry Truman and ended with Jimmy Carter who claimed the stability of the nation in 1977. It mentions that under Pahlavi's governance, foreign firms are required to frequently provide commissions to government officers or royal family members as a fee in exchange of any contract in Iran. Moreover, it notes that the Shah got married with Princess Fawzia Fuad, king of Egypt's sister.
