Abstract

The article focuses on "The Nelson Rockefeller Collection" which offers to sell in its mail-order catalog, the clones of 18th century Chinese porcelain and other Art objects at cheaper prices. It states that Rockefeller's business has angered the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) which claimed that the clones are not works of fine art and have no resale value or aesthetic worth. Accordingly, Rockefeller has invoked Andre Malraux and cited a passage in his writings on the works of art to be diffused.
