Abstract

The article focuses on the criticism for the works of psychologist Arthur Jensen due to his studies concerning the accountability of heredity to the difference of average intelligence quotient (IQ) scores between whites and blacks. It mentions that the election of Jensen as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science bring forth protest from a number of prominent professors such as anthropologist Margaret Mead. It states that Jensen believes that findings of his study in Southeastern Georgia which is said to undermine his first study in California can help to give evidence to the environmental damage in black children. However, various critics believe that the research of Jensen does not have an important share to knowledge.
