Abstract

The article reports on the business scandal faces by Gulf Oil Corp. Ltd. after its gradual restoration of reputation in the petroleum industry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It states that the company is involved in uranium price-fixing cartel with the knowledge of the new chairman Jerry McAfee. On the other hand, two executives of Gulf are indicted for bribing an Internal Revenue Service agent who audits the company's book. In this regard, the House of Commerce subcommittee conducts investigations to the issue of cartel.
